Our Blind Book with a Date fundraiser was a success thanks to you! Airdrie you helped raise almost $800 for the Airdrie Public Library!

From February 2–28, the Advocates for Airdrie Public Library invite you to take a chance on our Blind Date with a Book fundraiser. Wrapped mystery books—donated by our community—will be available for purchase by donation. No peeking, no judging by the cover… just the thrill of discovering a new literary love.
And this year, one lucky reader could find a Golden Ticket hidden inside a book!
The winner will receive a brand-new, limited-edition “Talk Nerdy to Me” APL hoodie and enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the library.
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or just looking for your next great read, this is a fun and meaningful way to support the Airdrie Public Library.

What do we do?
The Advocates are Airdrie Public Library’s friends’ group. We fundraise to add new services, materials and equipment and are passionate about literacy, lifelong learning and community connections! Our fundraising has purchased new e-books, multi-language signs and significantly added to the library’s collection.
How do we do it?
Our fundraising is everything from our own bookworm bookmarks, to our AGLC Casinos! We hold raffles, books sales, and donations. We are exploring the idea of a signature fundraiser of our own. If you’ve got a great idea on how the Advocates can raise money for the Library, you’d better join up and help make it happen! Events sometimes need an extra hand , and who better to ask for help than our Advocates? Consider donating your time. There are so many ways to get involved! And we’d love to have you!
